"Lighting the Path to Mental Wellness"
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. My career began as a nursing technician, progressed to a registered nurse, and included extensive experience in medical-surgical care with a specialty in neurovascular nursing at Emory Healthcare. During my time there, I also served in a leadership role as a charge nurse, honing my skills in team coordination, critical decision-making, and patient advocacy. This diverse clinical background has given me a strong, integrated understanding of both medical and psychiatric care, enabling me to treat patients from a truly holistic perspective.
I am an active listener who values collaboration, working in partnership with each patient to develop the most effective and personalized treatment plan. I believe that “do no harm” is fundamental, and that psychiatry is truly art and science in collaboration. Building a strong therapeutic rapport is essential, as trust and mutual respect form the foundation for meaningful progress. My approach centers on treating the mind, body, and soul, ensuring that care is comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-focused.
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy exploring new cultures, traveling, and spending quality time with my family. I am committed to maintaining my own wellness through exercise, weight training, and running—practices that I encourage as part of a balanced lifestyle for both physical and mental health. I believe in staying curious and committed to continual growth, both personally and professionally.
